Updated – Transformers: The Last Knight – TRU Exclusive Hot Rod And Onslaught Revealed

Thanks to Facebook page Transformers Peru, we have with us what looks as though Hot Rod and Onslaught toys for the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline.

The figures are listed as TRU Exclusives along with the (previously leaked) Mission To Cybertron subline toys such as Legion Class Combiner Infernocus and Quintessa, Deluxe Class Megatron, Deluxe Class Skullitron and Voyager Class Decepticon Nitro.

Size classes for Hot Rod and Onslaught are not yet determined.

Update: Good detective work by 2005 Boards Members proved that the image is in fact a fake. Onslaught has been photoshopped using ROTF Long Haul’s packaging art while Hot Rod from AOE Lockdown.

Transformers: The Last Knight Deluxe Class Wave 3 Bumblebee Instruction Sheet Leaked

Looks like it’s a good day for Transformers: The Last Knight toy leaks. Up next is a possible part of the Instruction Sheet for Deluxe Class Wave 3 Bumblebee (a.k.a New Mold Bumblebee). This leak comes courtesy of our regular Weibo leaker.

Thanks to the leak, we can clearly see that Bumblebee’s left arm can be detached and fitted with an arm cannon which is usually stored in the back of the robot mode. The arm cannon was featured on the official images given to us by Hasbro following the Toy Fair presentation this year.

The figure also features a door placement similar to its onscreen counterpart and a tilted hood piece.

We catch up with some characters who haven’t been seen for a couple of issues, as Optimus’s forces engage in a final push against the invading Junkions. John Turturro Spotted During Post-Production Filming Of Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers: The Last Knight may be on the post-production stage, but it doesn’t mean filming is done yet. Usually during this stage, it is normal to have certain reshoots to add additional scenes or add edited scenes which may not feel right on the final cut.

It just so happens that Director Michael Bay has worked with actor John Turturro last week for some additional scenes for the movie. His name did came up during the production stage of the movie but was not spotted on set.

It’s always nice to see our former Sector 7 agent once again.

New Prime 1 Studios Statue: Superior Optimus Prime

Prime 1 Studios has just shared via its Facebook and Instagram accounts a teaser picture of its new statue: Superior Optimus Prime. This new statue has got a smart mix between G1 and Movie designs. The description of the product is as follows:

“Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost.”

In conjunction with the release of the new trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight, we are proud to reveal the teaser for Superior Optimus Prime, designed by the ‘human Primus’, Josh Nizzi.

The Superior Optimus Prime is the first in a new line of Transformers collectibles designed by Josh.

Russian Instagram page Neposeda Textile has posted several images of Transformers: The Last Knight Licensed Bed Sheet Sets.

The sets feature Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sqweeks and Megatron character arts.

The sets also comes with a glow-in-the-dark feature.

Earth Wars Beast Wars Comic Update – Page 2 & You Can Win It!

Space Ape Games are celebrating the addition of Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron by creating a mini comic featuring their arrival to the Earth Wars! They are sharing out the first 3 pages, written by the Space Ape Community with art by Nathan Webb. TFW2005 was given page 2, attached here after the break. The first and third should be popping up on the Allspark and Seibertron soon!

On Thursday, April 20th at Noon Eastern, you’ll be able to see the full story recap and vote for the ending you want to see! That will be done via the Earth Wars Twitch Stream.

On top of all this, you’ll be able to win the original artwork for page 2!  Just jump over to the Transformers Earth Wars thread and post about the game any time before Friday April 21st and your automatically entered to win!  We will randomly pick a winner and contact via Conversation on the forums.  Space Ape will send the art out to you directly if you win.  Good luck!

Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us Update On Transformers Episode

Some months ago we reported that Netflix was preparing a new documentary series called “The Toys That Made Us”. The series is planned to have 8 episodes, each one centered in one important toy line and Transformers is among them.

Today we have a small but interesting update with a picture and a description from their Facebook Fan Page about the Transformers episode:

“Sakiko Shimono, our translator/coordinator in Tokyo, standing in front of boxes of prototypes and Japanese versions/predecessors of the toys we knew in the US as Transformer”

With the street date for Transformers The Last Knight’s toyline just a few days away, it should be no surprise that some retailers are breaking the street date. Our latest report comes via TFW2005 user Ravaged83 who reports finding the Tiny Turbo Changers assortment of the Transformers The Last Knight toyline at the Bunker Hill Toys”R”Us in Houston, TX. 

There are bound to be even more sightings of these and the other toys in the days leading up to the line’s launch – so be sure to share what you are finding in our Transformers Sightings board.

Transformers The Last Knight Legion class sighted at US retail

Care of TFW2005 member ar78, we also have a confirmation of the Legion class for Transformers The Last Knight hitting US retail. The first assortment of these pocket-sized ‘bots features redecos of earlier Legion class toys to give us Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Barricade in Legion scale. They were spotted alongside the already-sighted Deluxes and Voyagers at a Toys R Us in MA.

Via PreviewsWorld, we have a look at the retailer incentive cover for the upcoming Transformers Lost Light #5. Featuring cover art by Jin Kim, this cover sports the trio of Ultra Magnus, Drift, and Nautica standing in the foreground, with a large and stoic Rodimus in the background. It is a nice piece of work with some solid lines, and we’d certainly like to see more of Jin’s work in the future.

E-Hobby Magna Convoy new images

E-Hobby’s Twitter has shared some new images of their upcoming exclusive release, Magna Convoy. This redeco of Classics Optimus Prime with a couple of extra accessories looks sharp in his blue deco, which comes out very well in these images. There’s also a great pic of Magna alongside the other E-Hobby Generations exclusives from the last few years – Grand Scourge, Convobat, and Deadlock. They make for a nice grouping!

Imaginarium Art Ultra Magnus Statue New Images

Some new images of Imaginarium Art’s Ultra Magnus statue have been released. This statue of the Autobot City Commander is posed dynamically in front of one of Autobot City’s big guns, and has two different display options – either cradling his rifle in both arms, or standing in a commanding pose that says, “no, I CAN deal with that right now”.

Those who have been following this project will also note that Imaginarium Art have listened to past criticisms about the design – no more wheels on the arms!

Official Image And Description Of Transformers: The Last Knight Role Play Masks

Another minor reveal courtesy of Hasbro Middle-East. This time we have with us the official stock photo and description of Transformers: The Last Knight Role Play Masks.

The masks (news post image) were first revealed during the Australian Toy Fair 2017.

From what we know, there are two versions of these masks available. One version (revealed during New York Toy Fair 2017) features all new molds and are movie accurate. Bumblebee, Sqweeks and Megatron are featured in this version and has a Voice Changer Functionality.

The second version (pictured) features Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and are repaints of the Role Play Masks for the Robots In Disguise line.
