Care of an image shared on TFmizer’s Facebook page originating from an auction on Taobao, we have a look at the five toys of Titans Return Deluxe Wave 4 including our very first look at Krok and Quake, as well as our first look at the toy for Topspin.
The image is a bit small, but some details are fairly clear:
- Krok is, as rumored, a redeco of Skullsmasher, in that early 90s black, purple, and neon yellow color scheme. From what we can see he is fairly close to the look of the original Action Master, so will fill out those Scavenger / Action Master homages nicely.
- Quake is, also as rumored, a redeco of Hardhead, done in blue and grey. We’re seeing the robot mode here, which is quite accurate to the robot mode of the Generation 1 toy, but given the way that Hardhead transforms, a Generation 1 accurate tank mode is going to be off the cards. That said, there are some maroon accents visible, so we might be surprised after all.
- Topspin is the most interesting. From this image it is clear he’s not the heavy Hardhead retool that some were speculating him to be, indeed, he looks like a complete new mold. And – dare we say it? – with that spaceship mode, it looks like he might eventually be getting retooled into Misfire.
We’ve seen Kup and Perceptor before, so we’ll pass over commenting on them here.
