Transformers: The Last Knight star Isabela Moner recently spoke to Girl’s Life magazine regarding her first day on set with director Michael Bay. Website Just Jared Jr. was able to get an excerpt of the article which will be released on store shelves Tuesday. They report that Bay first greeted her by saying:
“Welcome! Today you’re going to put out a fire. Do you know how to use a fire extinguisher?”
Moner explained that he had her get very close to a fire in order to prepare for a shot.
“Michael lit this huge fire so I could practice, and kept shouting, ‘You have to get closer! Closer! You’re not in the shot yet!’ All I could think was, ‘My face is going to melt off!’” she said.
The action did not stop there as Moner had another sequence that involved her running while carrying three parachute bags.
“I grabbed them and I ran through the scene with all this wind blowing in my face and dust getting in my eyes and smoke and things on fire. When I finished it, it was just the most amazing feeling to know that I’d done it.”
Moner’s efforts on set will be shown to the world this summer. Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters June 23, 2017.
